2019-2020 Valencia Intercultural Student Association Officers Named

A Message from Falecia Williams, President, West and Downtown Campuses

The Valencia Intercultural Student Association (VISA), which is designed to internationalize the College through student events, recently introduced seven new students as officers for the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • President — Pedro Rodrigues
  • Vice President — Samuel Disamb
  • Secretary — Caroline Louredo
  • Marketing — Victoria El-Hader
  • Treasurer — Jean Philippe Kouame
  • Community Service — Maria Santos
  • Event Planner — Bruno Machado

These officers will serve one year and will meet every two weeks to develop ways to increase awareness of intercultural differences. VISA achieves this by providing learning opportunities, respecting different cultures or by demonstrating different cultures and celebrating different global holidays.

If you know of any students who would like to get involved with VISA, please share VISA’s fall 2019 events calendar with them. Students can also follow the club on Instagram @wcvisaclub. To view the schedule, click here.

The next event, “A World of Full Color,” will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 12 – 2 p.m. on the SSB patio. Click here for the event flyer.

If you have any questions, please contact Yonitha Berryhill, club advisor and coordinator, international students, at yberryhill@valenciacollege.edu or 407-299-5000, extension 5038, or contact VISA by emailing wcvisaclub@gmail.com.
