Ana Caldero Figueroa to Speak About Her Pathway to Leadership During AVW Event

You are invited to attend an Association of Valencia Women presentation on Path to Leadership, featuring Ana Caldero Figueroa, dean, arts and humanities, on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m., on West Campus in Building 11, Room 106, as she details her pathway to leadership.

Ana started her career at Valencia in 1989. She has taught all levels of Spanish and Latin American humanities and was also the discipline chair of foreign languages in the former West Campus Fine Arts Department from 2001-2013. In 2013, Ana became the interim dean of the Arts and Humanities Department, and in 2014, she was designated as the permanent dean.

Ana attended the University of Central Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and linguistics. After graduating, she attended University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras as a graduate student. Wanting a change of scenery, she moved to Madison, Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison to finish her master’s degree.

In 2009, she completed her EdS with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Florida.
