A Message from Terri Graham, Interim President, West and Downtown Campuses
I am pleased to introduce Cheri Cutter as our new interim dean of the West Campus Business Division.
Cheri, who has 12 years of teaching experience in higher education, currently serves as a full-time tenured faculty member on the West Campus. She is also the program chair for the Associate in Science Business Administration program.
“I was very blessed to join Valencia College in 2015 as a full-time business faculty member and program chair at West Campus,” Cheri shared. “I consider myself extremely blessed because I have worked alongside a phenomenal team of dedicated individuals within this division who continually put student learning and opportunity as a number one priority.”
She was also selected to participate in Prototype: An Exploration of Collaboration by Design to further develop conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and was recently accepted into the new Pilot Leadership Development Program. Additionally, Cheri participated in the Rubric for Online Competencies (ROC) review of her GEB 2112 – Entrepreneurship course and now serves as a subject matter expert and peer reviewer for fellow faculty going through the ROC review process.
In addition, Cheri has facilitated active learning courses for the Faculty and Instructional Development team. She also previously served as faculty advisor for the Phi Beta Lambda Business Club, Student Activity Fee Budget Committee, Curriculum Committee and Pathways Title III Steering Committee. She currently serves on the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business and Organizational Leadership (BASBOL) Relaunch Steering Committee.
Before joining Valencia College, Cheri served as campus dean at a for-profit university. She brings almost two decades of professional leadership experience to the College, has experienced and led organizational change and knows the importance of building and maintaining relationships with all organizational stakeholders. Some of her business industry experience includes roles as district business manager, regional business manager and business owner.
Her formal education includes an MBA from Florida Atlantic University and a doctorate in business administration with a concentration in health administration from Northcentral University.
