Brewing up Halloween Fun at Valencia
Share Last week, Valencia’s ghouls and goblins gathered to treat their colleagues with friendly Halloween frights. Thank you to all of those who participated in Halloween fun by decorating your work spaces, donning Halloween costumes and participating in various Halloween events and activities. This kind of festive employee engagement is part of what makes Valencia a spellbinding place to work.
For example, District Office witches and warlocks summoned their creative skills in an annual pumpkin-carving contest judged by Valencia’s head-haunt himself, College President Sandy Shugart. While all the pumpkins were absolutely boo-tiful, the winning team presented a uniquely Valencia interpretation of the rise of Banner 9.
Also joining in on All Hallows’ Eve activities, East Campus ghouls brewed up a special Halloween Edition of The Suite Times, featuring breaking news about Quailman’s heroic efforts and consequent poisoning and a collection of photos from Student Services’ ghouls gathering — which, according to the publication, was the “largest gathering of ghouls and gals yet.” To read the special issue, click here.
Thank you to everyone who participated in these or any Valencia Halloween events. If you would like to share photos of how you celebrated Halloween at the College, post your photos to social media and use the hashtag, #OurValencia.
