Call for Nominations: Inaugural Faculty Association Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Counseling and Librarianship

faculty-excellence-awards-groveThe Collegewide Faculty Association announces the opening of the nomination period for its inaugural Faculty Association Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Counseling and Librarianship.

Nominations will be accepted Monday, January 27 through Friday, February 28, 2014.

The purpose of the award is to recognize faculty members who demonstrate effective and innovative teaching methods and a continuing commitment to student success through student engagement both inside and outside the classroom.

All faculty members, both full-time and part-time, are eligible. Nominations may be submitted by students, faculty and staff.

Nominees will be asked to submit a portfolio for consideration by a committee of faculty members who will choose up to five winners.

Winners will receive a $1,000 award, a plaque and recognition at academic assembly.
