Centers for Accelerated Training Expansion on the Horizon

You may have heard that Valencia has plans to expand some Advanced Manufacturing Training programs to our future Downtown Campus. We are in preliminary discussions to expand the Centers for Accelerated Training, which offer accelerated skills training programs that train unemployed and underemployed individuals for high-wage, high-demand positions, to the Downtown Campus.

“We want to service the community and offer programs with intensive training that leads to immediate employment, so that center may feature accelerated training in manufacturing, construction, information technology coding and health care,” shared Joe Battista, vice president, global, professional and continuing education.

As further details become available for a possible Downtown Campus location, details will be shared in The Juice.

When the Poinciana Campus opens this fall, a Center for Accelerated Training will be an integral part of the campus. The center will offer continuing education programs in Intensive English, English as a Second Language, construction, welding and other short-term training programs.
