Thank you for your continued support of the Check-In, Valencia’s performance review process. As we are wrapping up the 2015 – 16 Beginning-of-year Check-In, we hope that through meaningful and robust conversations, you and your team members have discussed plans and created performance and development goals for the year ahead. Remember to keep lines of communication open throughout the year, as informal feedback is needed on a regular basis. Be sure to reference the Discussion Planner when a formal discussion is needed.
Please make a note of these established deadline dates for each step of the 2015 – 2016 Check-In cycle, and work with your team to ensure that these steps in the online Check-In tool are completed.After you meet with your employees to discuss the input from his/her reflection questions, competency assessment and goals, it is important that you document your comments, feedback and input in the Supervisor Review step and that your employees complete the Employee Acknowledgment step (the final step), so that Beginning-of-Year Check is fully complete.

If you would like additional assistance with the Check-In process, please contact your campus director of organizational development and human resources to coordinate additional training or lab space (for computer access), as needed. Please be advised that the campus president/vice president will receive a status of completion report for all full-time staff members who report up to them in the fall (prior to the start of the Mid-Year Check-In).
