Chef Jenn Wows Crowd at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona, and Poinciana Campuses

This fall, Poinciana Campus’ own Chef Jenn (a.k.a. Jennifer Denlinger, professor, culinary management) was asked to participate in the 2019 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival for the fourth year. She is a former Walt Disney World cast member and did her preliminary culinary training as an apprentice at Disney.

She led two cooking demonstrations, both of which were sold out before the events even began. During the first demo, on Saturday, September 14, 2019, Chef Jen made Seared Sea Scallops with fresh creamed corn, grilled rainbow carrots, roasted cauliflower and charmoula.

Her second demo was on Sunday, October 27, 2019, during which she whipped up Summer Vegetable and Pancetta Risotto with Florida spiny lobster and herb butter.

“It’s a lot of work, but a lot of fun,” shared Chef Jenn. “My favorite part is walking into the Events Kitchen and working with graduates and current students who are rocking their careers. I hope to be invited back in the future. It is a great way to keep me on my toes in this industry and refresh my skills.”
