CMS Content Editing Update
ShareA Message from Traci Bjella, Assistant Vice President, Marketing, and Patti Smith, Chief Information Officer
As we shared last week, we thank you for your continued patience and support as we launch our modernized, mobile-friendly Valenciacollege.edu CMS and website. This is an exciting project, and we appreciate everyone who has played a role in bringing it to launch and those of you who have shared your experiences with the new website. While website editing capabilities have been paused for most content editors, the transition of webpage content-editing capabilities to our users is a priority for us, and we are currently in the process of re-validating who should have editing capabilities and to which pages. That validation process is expected to be completed in February.
On Friday, February 1, 2019, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) team emailed the College’s 168 content editors who completed the Valencia EDGE training, Valencia CMS Content Editor Training Basic User, to request a list of the webpages they would like access to edit and the name of each webpage owner.
Upon receipt of responses to this request, OIT will follow-up with each webpage owner and confirm specific content editing privileges for every employee who has requested those capabilities. Once that confirmation is received, content editing access will be granted, and the employee will be notified accordingly.
If you are not already a content editor and would like the ability to edit webpage content, stay tuned to The Juice and The Grove for a future announcement on how you can request access.
If you have any questions, please contact the OIT Service Desk at OITServiceDesk@valenciacollege.edu. Additionally, please remember to provide new website site feedback via Atlas on the MyAtlas tab in the Website Feedback channel located on the right side.
