Congratulations to our NISOD and Roueche Award Recipients

Three faculty from the Osceola and Lake Nona Campuses have been recognized for excellence by receiving a NISOD or Roueche Excellence Award:
- Kris Dougherty, professor of biology at Lake Nona, was selected to receive a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award. Kris was recognized by a colleague for the high standards the she holds for her students and for her involvement in major college initiatives to help promote student success.
- Stanton Reed, professor of accounting at Osceola, was selected to receive a 2014 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award. Stanton was recognized by a colleague for his outstanding ability to engage, captivate and motivate both students and faculty.
- Leila Sisson, professor of mathematics at Osceola, was selected to receive a2014 John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Award. Leila was recognized by a colleague for her willingness to think creatively about ways to address capacity constraints, successfully piloting a mixed-mode College Algebra class for 85 students (a traditional class seats only 28 students), with more than 80 percent of the students earning a “C” or higher in the class.
