ShareA Message from Stacey Johnson, President, East and Winter Park Campuses
Made possible by the Winter Park Campus Seneff Honors College Global Studies Track, administrators and faculty from Valencia’s sister college, Koning Willem I College, visited Valencia in March 2017.
During the visit, Terri Daniels, executive dean, Winter Park Campus, along with Suzette Dohany, professor, speech, and Val Woldman, professor, humanities, presented an overview of Winter Park Campus’ Honors program and the partnership between the two institutions. The Dutch visitors observed Valencia students interacting with their Dutch peers via Skype in Val’s Introduction to Humanities class, and students Michaella Flynn, Rachel Kirkly and Shauna Clifton shared their experiences in the cultural exchange program.
The Dutch visitors also spent time during their visit touring the School of Public Safety, East and West Campuses, and the Center for Accelerated Training, while learning about accreditation, assessment, academic success and faculty development. College President Sandy Shugart hosted a dinner at his home, which marked the end of a very successful trip to Valencia College.
