East Campus Seneff Honors Students on the Move

The East Campus Seneff Honors College Resource Center moved to the Rotunda area of the first floor of Building 4. The new location, directly in front of the Academic Success Center, is open to all current honors students and includes desks, computers and comfortable seating. Renovations of the new space were recently completed with the installation of glass walls and panels.
Jane Maguire, professor, reading, and faculty coordinator for Honors on the East Campus, stated that after hearing the students comment on the temporary “cage,” which had a jail cell appearance, she encouraged them to think of it as a temporary “gated” community.
On Thursday, April 14, 2016, the permanent panels and windows were installed. Honors student Luke Sanders commented, “The new panels and windows have greatly reduced the noise and distraction and helps me focus more on my studies.”
