East Region Faculty Development Update

Thursday, November 4, 2021

A Message from Wendy Givoglu, Interim President, East and Winter Park Campuses

Last month, Faculty Development added in-person support to the virtual support model that has been available during the last 18 months. The Center for Teaching/Learning Innovation (CTLI) is open on East and Winter Park Campuses on select days. Both centers are configured for physical distancing and reduced capacity.

We highly recommend scheduling an appointment with the following East Region faculty developer/instructional designers (FD/ID) to ensure availability for an in-person consultation at the CTLI.

The East Campus CTLI (Building 4, Room 113):

The CTLI is open for in-person faculty consultations, during the following days/hours:

  • Mondays 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Days and times were determined using course schedule data. Contact the following staff to schedule an appointment:

The East Campus CTLI will continue to be open for faculty to utilize the space Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The Winter Park CTLI (Room 126)

The CTLI is open for in-person faculty consultations, during the following days/hours. Days and times were determined using course schedule data:

  • Tuesdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Thursdays 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Contact the following staff member to schedule an appointment:

Virtual consultations continue to be available, so we also recommend scheduling those with your FD/ID. Robust virtual consultation, helpdesk and assigned FD/ID models will continue.

We are very excited to continue supporting our faculty in-person once again and continue with our virtual support throughout fall 2021. If you have any questions regarding CTLI assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Campus Director of Faculty and Institutional Development Sally Leslie at sleslie3@valenciacollege.edu.
