Encourage Participation in 2014 PIVOT 180 – The New Leadership Academy

pivot180-200h-groveEncouraging your top performers to participate in PIVOT 180 (formerly known as the Leadership Academy) is a great way to acknowledge and reward your high-potential team members. Providing support and development creates an environment for employee success and demonstrates your appreciation for your employees. Throughout this leadership program, which spans eleven months, participants will embark upon a journey of self-discovery as they develop transferable leadership and self-management skills. The program features a wide variety of leadership training and networking opportunities.

Robyn Brighton, director of curriculum initiatives, was encouraged to apply for the Leadership Academy by her former supervisor, Catherine Penfold-Navarro, director of the Title III Project.

“We thought it would be a great way for me to gain exposure to a variety of development resources and other leaders at the college. Through research and reflection, I’ve had the opportunity to develop a leadership philosophy that is influenced by the individuals around me and is centered on my values. This academy has provided me with an awareness of our institution’s culture and helped me gain confidence at work,” Robyn shared.
