Encourage Your Students to Participate; 50 Years, 50 Giveaways

Just a post on Instagram could earn your students Valencia swag. As part of the 50 Years, 50 Giveaways campaign, students are invited to join in on some celebratory fun and, to spark engagement, we need your help to encourage students to participate. Perhaps it is as simple as offering extra credit points for proof of participation or just mentioning it during a class. You might also find ways to incorporate both Valencia’s history and the college’s Instagram initiative into your curriculum. Visit our history page to learn about Valencia’s 50 years in the community, or feel free to reach out to Public Relations Coordinator Jimmy Sherfey at jsherfey@valenciacollege.edu to discuss ideas.

All students must do is document the start of their fall semester on Instagram while using the hashtags #valencia50th or #50years50giveaways. The student with the most creative post will receive a messenger bag, while runner-ups will receive a 50th anniversary T-shirt or portable Bluetooth speaker.
