Get Ready to Zoom

A Message from Patti Smith, Chief Information Officer

Great news! Valencia College now has a contract with Zoom, an easy cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat and webinars across mobile devices, desktops and telephones. This is an alternative option to using Skype for Business for video and audio conferencing. Zoom will be available to students and employees and will integrate with Canvas on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

      Hi Steven – I appreciate your feedback. I do understand the importance of recording your sessions. In an effort to move quickly we have this turned off while we work on contractual language that meets our FERPA requirements. Our goal is to support you and our students leading to a successful outcome for all.

    Issue solve. Here are instructions if this happen to others. "Your internet browser must have that ucf account saved on it. You will need to clear your browsers cache. The zoom link should take you to a Valencia sign in screen that will prompt you to enter your Atlas credentials. Make sure that you login via your account". Thanks OIT

      Kamla – We are not currently utilizing the the webinar feature however you can host meetings with up to 300 participants. If this will not meet your needs please reach out and we can discuss.
