Humanities Professor Travis Rodgers Publishes Online Paper on Punishment

A Message from Falecia Williams, President, West and Downtown Campuses

Congratulations to Humanities Professor Travis Rodgers for the publication of his article, “Theories of Punishment,” in “1000-Word Philosophy: An Introductory Anthology.”

As the title suggests, the online, peer-reviewed journal is geared toward introducing philosophical topics to general audiences in just about three pages of text. His article reviews rival attempts to specify the conditions under which it would be appropriate to punish someone. The article contains links to other works on the site and to other influential works of philosophy, all of which help guide students as they generate expertise on the subject.
