Jehojada Merilan Named 2018 Distinguished Graduate

Earlier this year, we asked for your help to identify the Mary S. Collier Distinguished Graduate for 2018. We are happy to announce the winner this year is Jehojada Merilan, a first-generation American.

When Jehojada’s parents came to the United States from Haiti, they wanted only one thing — a chance at a better life. Now their son, Jehojada, will address his fellow graduates in both the morning and afternoon ceremonies of Valencia College’s commencement, which will take place at the University of Central Florida’s CFE Arena on Sunday, May 6. Click here to read about his story on the Valencia news site.
