A Message from Patti Smith, Chief Information Officer, Office of Information Technology
Last week, we shared updates and resources for Banner users about the Banner 9 Transition, which will deliver a number of important enhancements, including a modern, web-based look, enhanced navigation and process management tools, as well as new functionality.
With any system upgrade, we know that you may be concerned about the change, and we have been working closely with our functional teams and test groups of Banner users to understand and anticipate those changes. Most of the feedback that other institutions have provided indicates that getting used to the new look and navigation takes minimal effort; it’s simply a matter of getting comfortable with the new way of using Banner.
To help with the Banner 9 transition, we will hold Banner 9 Open Labs on all campuses through Thursday, October 18, 2018, as to provide you with an opportunity to get hands-on experience and explore the navigation and features, as well as get your questions answered by our functional techs before the system goes live. Here are the upcoming sessions:
Additionally, Open Labs information is also posted in the Banner 9 Resource channel.
If you have questions or feedback, please contact me at email@example.com or 407-299-5000 extension 5411. We will continue to keep you informed of the Banner 9 progress through email, as well as through open discussions with you and your team.
