Lashon Henderson is the New Grants Administration and Development Manager

From Kristeen Christian, Assistant Vice President of Resource Development

On Monday, July 16, Lashon Henderson joined Valencia as the new grants administration and development manager. We welcome Lashon to the resource development office, and she is excited to be a part of a growing team that is on the move!

As the new grants administration and development manager, Lashon will be working with grant project directors to ensure that grant projects meet all of the funding source requirements. She will assist with grant kick-off meetings and help establish timelines for project implementation, including reporting. Working with project managers individually and in groups, Lashon will be responsible for educating, informing and providing advice on how to meet grant program objectives while working within college policy.

Lashon comes to Valencia from the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) in Central/North Florida, where she partnered with corporations, community businesses and foundations to raise scholarship money for students with financial needs.

If you would like to welcome Lashon to the Valencia family, please do so by leaving a comment below.
