Leadership Quotes for Leaders by Leaders

“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” – Albert Einstein

“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” – Jackie Robinson

These two quotes have been a major source of inspiration to Jeff Nardo, who before changing careers to human resources, worked for 15 years as a coordinator of career services at a community college in North Carolina.

sliceJeff was also mindful of these quotes, and what they represent, while providing leadership in his 15-year tenure as a Marine Corps officer. As he reflects, Jeff is reminded of his dad, who embodied the wisdom of these words, during both his military career and his leadership of Oviedo High School’s JROTC program.

“In my human resources career and as a leader at Valencia, I find that the leadership principles represented by the words of Einstein and Robinson are as timely as ever, and I try daily to live up to them in all interactions with Valencia staff,” he said.

Glad to have you as a part of our team, Jeff. Your dad was a great leader to the many JROTC students at Oviedo High School :).
