Valencia Brain Bowl Takes 2nd and 3rd in Nation
Our Valencia Brain Bowl teams took second and third place at the National Academic Quiz Tournaments Community College Championship Tournament (NAQT CCCT) held this year at Gulf Coast College in Panama City, Florida.

Teams from 24 community colleges out of nine states competed, all having qualified through their own tournaments. Our friendly rivals from Chipola College took first and gave the only losses to our Red team, which finished second. Our Black team lost only to Chipola and our Red team.

Our Red and Black teams now get to move on to the NAQT Intercollegiate Tournament in Chicago, where they will play against university teams.

Say congrats to any of the students named below if you know them; they’ve put in eight hours a week in preparation for this tournament.

And, a special kudos goes out to Chanda Torres, director of student development, Jeffrey Stuckey, staff assistant, and Nancy Meza, student activity accounting specialist for their support.
