A Message from Wendy Givoglu, Interim President, East and Winter Park Campuses

The Transitions Planning team offers resources to help prepare students for life after high school, whether that includes college or industry certification. The team provides recruitment and outreach efforts to share the message that college is possible for everyone, and informs students on how they can start building better tomorrows for themselves at Valencia College.

The team shares this information through presentations and application labs at high schools, tabling events and a robust campus visitation program, including campus tours, group visits and information sessions. Additionally, several signature events take place during the year for students and their families. The team works with the K-12 schools in Orange and Osceola Counties, and community and campus partners to engage students in interactive academic experiences, exposing them to a world of career options.
