You may have heard of the term microaggressions and wondered what that means. Microaggressions are comments or actions that subtly and often unconsciously express a biased attitude toward a member of a marginalized group.
That said, Faculty Development and Employee Development
are excited to announce a new scheduled series of course sessions for INDV3145 Understanding Microaggresions. This course, facilitated by Shari Koopman, professor, English, and Daniel Iglesias, instructional designer/developer, will examine the role of microaggressions in the workplace and classroom and explore strategies to counteract their impact.
