Nominate a Student for President for a Day

A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona, and Poinciana Campuses

I am searching for an exemplary student to work with me for a day to learn what a college leader’s job entails. The selected candidate, from Osceola, Lake Nona, or Poinciana Campuses, will shadow me for a day on Monday, March 23, 2020.

In addition, the winner will receive a $500 Valencia Foundation Scholarship for the spring 2020 semester (pending eligibility), a letter of recommendation, a leather-style padfolio, an interview survival kit and a celebratory luncheon.

All candidates will receive feedback on their job application process, so they will be better prepared for their real-life job searches in the future.

Faculty and staff are invited to nominate students to apply for President for a Day. This allows Career Center representatives to reach out to students one-on-one, let them know how their professors/advisors recognize their strengths and encourage them to apply. Please feel free to nominate a student whom you feel has what it takes.

The nomination deadline is Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
