Now Hiring: Assistant Director, Employee Development

Valencia College’s Employee Development team is seeking an internal, strategic and innovative candidate to fill the role of assistant director, employee development to develop, administer and perform day-to-day operations of comprehensive collegewide development programs.
The individual in this role will be responsible for formulating and recommending program goals and strategic objectives in all areas of employee development, including training programs, awards and recognition programs, organizational development interventions and performance development processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience in designing, implementing, delivering and assessing employee development initiatives and programs.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and course and curriculum design in all modalities (face-to-face, hybrid and online), including learning outcome development and curriculum alignment.
- Experience in planning and managing programs and events for diverse audiences.
- Supervisory or team leader experience.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM–SCP, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
