Osceola Campus President Search Update

A Message from Valencia College President Sandy Shugart and Interim Executive Dean Melissa Pedone, Osceola, Lake Nona, and Poinciana Campuses

Our search process for a new campus president for the Osceola Region is underway. We attracted 167 applicants and are pleased with the depth of the applicant pool. Our search team met, codified the qualities, skills and experiences we seek, and finalized our search plan.

The search team is reviewing the applicants and will meet again on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, to identify those candidates we wish to learn more about through HireVue interviews. We expect to have final interviews onsite during the week of April 13, 2020 (subject to change depending on how the search unfolds).

We appreciate all of the feedback that you have provided, including during the previous searches and the recent feedback provided to our search partners, AGB Search, through their survey and on-site listening sessions. Your insights continue to inform our team as we search for a fantastic leader to guide our faculty, staff, and students.

If you have any questions about the search process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Amy Bosley, vice president, organization development and human resources, at abosley@valenciacollege.edu or 407-299-5000, extension 8255.
