PJI Featured on Power Talks

Our Peace and Justice Institute (PJI) at Valencia College promotes peace and justice for all — nurturing an inclusive, caring and respectful environment on campus and within the community. PJI Director Rachel Allen and Professor of English Rudy Darden, who is also a PJI facilitator, were guests on the most recent episode of Dr. Rev. Joel Hunter’s Power Talks, which aired on TV 45 on Tuesday, October 22 and Friday, October 25, 2019.

Dr. Hunter recently joined the advisory council of the Peace and Justice Institute, and as a part of getting to know PJI and highlighting the work the organization does in the community to build bridges of understanding between “others” and support community dialogue around difficult topics, he invited Rachel and Rudy to the session. He is curious how PJI achieves its goals and what Rudy and Rachel have done personally to develop themselves in order to lead these important community conversations.
