Schedule for the 2016-2017 Annual Reappointment Process

Those who supervise annually contracted employees (with the exception of faculty now eligible for tenure) should be aware of the following schedule for the yearly reappointment process:

– Friday, January 29, 2016Organizational Development and Human Resources will mail memos to supervisors requesting their recommendation regarding the annual reappointment of contracted staff/faculty for fiscal or academic year 2016 – 2017. slice

– February and March, 2016 – During this time, supervisors should consider all reappointment decisions and have open communication with their respective administrator regarding any concerns. Consultations to discuss potential non-renewals may be scheduled with the appropriate campus director, organizational development and human resources:

*Please note that West Campus supervisors, who received a letter stating they should contact Becky Gallup with concerns, should contact Ruth Ridore, as Becky has moved to a new role at the College.

– Friday, April 1, 2016 – Completed memos must be returned to Organizational Development and Human Resources no later than April 1. All decisions and recommendations must be properly noted and each memo approved by the appropriate executive level administrator (president, vice president or campus president) prior to being forwarded to me at mail code DO-21.

– Friday, April 29, 2016 – Employees must be officially notified of non-reappointment decisions no later than April 29. Campus directors are available to assist during employee notification meetings.
