A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana Campuses

Professor of Mathematics Brian Macon at the Lake Nona Campus was selected as one of 10 winners in the 2016 Khan Academy’s Talent Search. More than 1,300 video entries were submitted as part of the contest, and Brian’s video was recognized for its exceptional clarity, depth and conversational tone.

You can watch the award-winning video about confidence intervals online by clicking here.

Brian’s video explanation is an example of an innovative solution to the common challenge of a student asking a great question near the end of class or after class has ended.

If you’d like to consider creating videos to extend your instruction beyond the classroom, please feel free to reach out to one of our Centers for Teaching/Learning Innovation.
