Seventh PIVOT 180 Cohort Graduates

On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, members of the seventh cohort of PIVOT 180, one of Valencia’s leadership development programs, received their certificates of completion during a celebration at the District Office.

Program facilitators Shara Lee, campus director, faculty and instructional development, and Nick Estee, assistant director, admissions and records, hosted the ceremony as 20 Valencia leaders were recognized for completing this year-long development program.

The PIVOT 180 program was founded by the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC), which is now the Association of Valencia Women (AVW), in 2009. The program is designed to develop strong leadership and self-management skills that focus on transferable leadership skills, rather than specific job responsibilities.slice
