A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana Campuses
The Osceola Student Government Association hosted a successful “Scholarship Night” for the community on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Nearly 150 future students and their families came to learn about available scholarships, complete scholarship applications, apply for admission to Valencia College and learn about our Intensive English program. Kudos to our SGA for having the vision and the courage to organize such an impactful event for our community!
Our “Scholarship Nights” in January and April have helped us gear up for our major Open House event on Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 6 – 9 p.m. If you’d be willing to volunteer at the event (as a tour guide; as someone who reads drafts of scholarship essays; as someone who talks with potential students about the programs available at the Osceola Campus, etc.), please email me. We expect attendance at our Open House to be upwards of 500 future students and their families.
