A Message from Barbara Shell, Senior Engagement/Special Gifts Officer
With Valentine’s Day tomorrow, the Valencia Foundation is kicking off its employee giving campaign — “Share the Love.” What a perfect time to make a donation and “share the love” with our students. They need our help.
Every penny donated to The Valencia Fund helps meet needs beyond tuition and fees – for example: S.O.S. mini grants, textbook assistance, service learning and community service, undergraduate research, career exploration, conference and competition participation, and more.
Watch the video below to learn why Elvin Cruz, coordinator, scholarships and special projects, shares the love to help Valencia students.
The Valencia Fund is suggested for your “Share the Love” donation this year, but, if that’s not your choice, there are many scholarships and programs you may choose to show your “Share the Love” support for Valencia students. Please consider making a donation of any size. Donations may be made via check, payroll deduction or credit card.
We also invite you to share a short video about why you share the love and donate to help Valencia students. Email your video to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A big thank you to the Employee Giving Advisory Committee: Mike Bosley, executive dean, Lake Nona Campus, John Britt, campus director, advising; Elvin Cruz; Michelle Foster; campus dean, academic affairs; Al Groccia, faculty association president; Amaris Guzman, manager community outreach; Judy Jackson, director, business operations; Jessica King, director, HRIS; Donna Kosloski, institutional research analyst; Josh Murdock, IT manager, institutional design services; Hannah Hosler, coordinator, program advisor; and Erica Reese, director, standardized testing.
