SPS Connects Students to Public and Private Safety Agencies During Job Fair
ShareBy Jeff Goltz, Executive Dean, School of Public Safety
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, the School of Public Safety (SPS) hosted another successful job fair. Thirty-five regional, state, federal and private public safety agencies set up to recruit our students for a variety of employment opportunities in public safety. Additionally, Valencia College and the University of Central Florida promoted their criminal justice and fire programs.
More than 70 current and future students took advantage of the job fair, and many of the agencies that participated have already reserved their tables for the next SPS Job Fair in February 2020. A common remark from the agencies and recruiters in attendance was the remarkable hospitality they received and the quality of applicants from Valencia.
A special thanks goes out to the event coordinators at SPS: Executive Assistant Lizbeth Requena-Ramos; Implementation Coordinator Danissa Joyce; Program Support Specialist Lauren Livingston; and Staff Assistant I Yazmin Encarnacion.
Our public safety community, SPS and Valencia are All Together. All Safe. All In.
