Student Organizations in Need of Advisors

A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana Campuses

Our students have many opportunities to become actively engaged on campus through student clubs and organizations. Student clubs and organizations are required to have a faculty or staff member serve as an advisor, and, currently, there are four organizations at the Osceola Campus that are searching for an advisor or co-advisor.

Advisors assist students, help set realistic goals for the organization, support students in maintaining a balance between the academic and co-curricular aspects of student life, and work with students in planning programs that are beneficial to students, while being consistent with the educational objectives of the College.

Currently, the following student organizations are seeking an advisor:

  • Dive Club
  • Gay Straight Alliance
  • Photography Club
  • Valencia G.U.I.D.E.S.

If you have an interest in learning more about the opportunity to serve as an advisor, please contact Nelson Sepulveda, assistant director, student development, at nsepulveda@valenciacollege.edu or extension 4159.
