Foundations of Supervision Part 1

Who Should Attend? This course is for all types and levels of supervision, from new supervisors, to supervisors new to Valencia, to experienced supervisors wanting a refresher course.

About the Course: As a supervisor at Valencia, there are some basic HR processes, concepts and policies that can help you be more effective in your role. Some, like the PDP, will help you collaborate with your direct reports so they have a better understanding of how their individual role helps your team achieve departmental and college-wide goals. Others, like understanding the concept of progressive discipline will give you guidance in dealing with the inevitable employee issues that arise from time to time.

Essential Supervisory Competencies Certification Program – Introductory Workshop
