The DDI Coaching for Success workshop was not only helpful, but I believe any Valencia supervisor would greatly benefit from attending the session. Understanding and correctly utilizing the five interaction guidelines – open, clarify, develop, agree, and close – is essential when giving and receiving feedback with your staff.
I learned that the coaching process is positive and very much a win-win for all parties. Our leadership team in security services would like to focus on the positive attributes of others, in hopes of empowering our staff to be their best.
Marisa Zuniga has been a manager in Valencia’s security services department for six years. She is currently assigned to the West Campus, Downtown Center, and Sand Lake Center. She has been in the security industry for over 25 years, working in areas such as loss prevention, executive protection and private investigations.
