Faculty may now search and register for faculty development and Teaching/Learning Academy courses, evaluate performance, check transcripts and conduct other development tasks in one centralized location — the Valencia EDGE. Over the next several months, we’ll explore what the Valencia EDGE offers faculty and how you can take advantage of the resources. Today, we’ll take a look at the Essential Competencies channel.
In this channel, explore the descriptions and indicators of the new Essential
Competencies of a Valencia Educator. Then, search and register for courses corresponding to that competency by simply clicking on each competency arrow in the Essential Competency wheel.
Learning Technology and Alternative Delivery courses assist faculty members in applying learning technologies to enhance their practice in each of the Essential Competencies of a Valencia Educator. On this channel you’ll also find a variety of course offerings in Learning Technology and Alternative Delivery.
For a tutorial on the Essential Competencies channel, including a breakdown of how to register for courses, watch the video below.
