Other highlights of the term included a faculty and staff retreat at Lake Lily in Maitland, the first offerings of a new course titled “Positive Psychology,” which was taught by Linda Freeman, and a visit to the Gaung Ming Temple for a glimpse into Buddhism.
The Peace and Justice Initiative is a faculty, staff and student led initiative that aims to transform the culture at Valencia into one where peace and justice for all are valued, and conflict is viewed as an opportunity for growth and transformation.
