The Valencia College CMS/Website Transition

A Message from Patti Smith, Chief Information Officer, and Traci Bjella, Assistant Vice President, Marketing

We would like to thank you all for your continued patience and support throughout the launch of the modernized, mobile-friendly Valenciacollege.edu CMS and website. This project started 18 months ago and represents a drastic change after nearly 15 years. We recognize that these changes have presented challenges, as innovation often leads to challenges and opportunities for growth.

While we strove to ensure the smoothest transition possible, post-launch quality assurance efforts have identified multiple broken links that the team is now actively working to resolve. We anticipate the majority of those broken links, identified through that process, will be addressed within the next few weeks. Please continue to contact the OIT Service Desk at OITServiceDesk@valenciacollege.edu or through the OIT online portal if you encounter broken links or website issues so that we can resolve them in the most effective manner.

In addition, we are resolving other post-launch issues, requests for content revisions and other minor webpage changes as they are received. Please note that the transition of webpage content-editing capabilities to our users is a parallel priority for us. We are currently in the process of re-validating who should have editing capabilities and to which pages. That validation process is expected to be completed in February. Read Tuesday’s issue of The Juice for additional information on webpage content editing.

Additionally, please remember to provide site feedback via Atlas on the MyAtlas tab in the Website Feedback channel located on the right side.
