Thirteen West Campus Employees Receive Grapevine Awards

The West Campus Career Staff Association (CSA) recently celebrated 13 employees with Grapevine Awards for demonstrating exemplary work or for providing outstanding service.

Jodi Criner, West Campus CSA chair, shared that the Grapevine Award is, “very beneficial as it acknowledges the ‘extra’ and ‘outstanding’ work that we do for students and our colleagues.”

Doing more than expected is why Patricia Lynch, senior instructional assistant, received recognition. Jodi explained that with no hesitation, Pat goes above and beyond her duties to learn new skills that will enable her to repair computer lab software and hardware.

“She is always eager to help with her positive attitude and easy-going demeanor,” said Jodi.

Another colleague recognized was Mary Ellen Davies, procurement operations manager, for taking on an additional job while her office searched for a new P-Card administrative coordinator.

“We all need a little pat on the back once in a while, and when we get noticed for [doing] an outstanding job or doing more than expected, it’s a nice, positive reward that really boosts self-esteem and value,” Jodi explained.
