University of Central Florida to Present Panel about Global Pandemics

Valencia College is supporting a University of Central Florida (UCF) panel, sponsored by the Florida Humanities Council, called “The Global Pandemic of 2020-22: Historical Context and Current Perspectives.”

On Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1 p.m, you are invited to attend this panel as it explores the historical contexts of infectious disease in America, beginning with the Yellow Fever of 1793 and the Spanish Flu of 1918, before moving into Florida and the world’s current state in the COVID-19 pandemic. Various medical and social debates related to patient rights and public health policy will also be discussed.
