The courses being offered include: carpentry; masonry; commercial truck driving; IT/network support specialist; medical office specialist; clinical medical assisting; Microsoft specialist certification; distribution operations technician; electronic board assembly; certified production technician; and apartment maintenance technician.

“We’re so pleased to be able to share Valencia College’s Accelerated Skills Training and Continuing Education programs with Orange County residents who have been impacted by COVID-19,” said Carolyn McMorran, assistant vice president, professional and continuing education. “Our programs are designed in conjunction with local employers who are still hiring and need employees.”

“Orange County recognizes the need of our residents to get back on their feet as quickly as possible having been impacted enormously by this pandemic,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings. Employment and workforce development are key to getting back in the job market, and we thank CareerSource Central Florida and Valencia College for their capabilities, services and dedication to help our residents re-enter the job market and achieve stability.”
