Valencia Meeting Community Needs Through the Disney Aspire Program

With the launch of Disney Aspire, an educational investment program for Disney’s more than 50,000 part-time and full-time hourly employees, comes an exciting opportunity and responsibility for Valencia College. As a partner institution and in-network provider for Guild Education, which is the organization managing Disney’s education initiative, Valencia is one of the colleges Disney Aspire cast members may attend.

Already, we’ve seen an increased need for English as a Second Language (ESOL) educators — as many eligible Disney Aspire employees are looking to improve their communication and language skills.

To that end, we recently hosted a job fair to connect with potential ESOL and Intensive English educators. Through the job fair, Valencia hired more than 25 part-time instructors — making a significant positive economic impact in our community for both our newly hired instructors and those who will benefit from language training.

This is just one way we work with the Central Florida community to create better tomorrows for our students, educators and community.
