Valencia Pulse Memorial LGBT Scholarship Campaign Exceeds January Goal

The Pulse Scholarship Faculty and Staff Committee has exceeded its goal of raising $13,000 for the Valencia Foundation Pulse Memorial LGBT Scholarship by Tuesday, January 31, 2017, thanks to the generosity and volunteerism of Valencia’s employees, students and friends.

More than $14,000 has been raised for the scholarship to honor the memory of those who were lost during the Pulse tragedy and to create new opportunities for current students. The Tuesday, February 28, 2017, goal is $15,600.

An overall minimum of $30,000 is needed and will be raised through donations and benefit events to permanently endow the scholarship AND to make a first scholarship award this year. This scholarship campaign will run through Monday, June 12, 2017 — the one-year anniversary of the shooting.

We need your help! Making a donation is easy and can be made through payroll deductions or credit card. You can also make a contribution in memory of a student, friend, family, colleague or community partner here.
