A Message from Falecia Williams, President, West and Downtown Campuses
Congratulations to our School of Allied Health team. Valencia College’s ultrasound technician program was ranked first in Florida for 2019-2020 by Nursingprocess.org. The ranking was established after evaluating all of the ultrasound technician programs across the state for admissions rate, graduation rate, full-time retention rate, enrollment rate, student-to-faculty ratio, net price, total number of students enrolled in the program and the College’s internet reviews.
Other top Florida ultrasound technician programs included Polk State College, Miami Dade College, Keiser University, Adventist University of Health Sciences and Hillsborough Community College. For the full rankings, click here.
“Our ultrasound and sonography students have dedicated their talents to serving our community’s health needs, and made an important decision to trust our Valencia faculty with their futures,” said Marie Vasquez-Brooks, dean, School of Allied Health. “We are honored to provide them excellence in instruction through dedicated work by Carolyn DeLeo, professor, sonography and our program chair, and Ann Marie Lyle, professor, sonography, and clinical educator, along with invaluable support of our clinical partners in the community.”
