Wall Graphic Highlights Advanced Manufacturing Programs and Students

Check out this fun wall graphic that highlights Valencia College students in the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center conference room.

Our Accelerated Skills Training program team uses this meeting space regularly to host local businesses and leaders, like Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, Lockheed Martin, Amazon, Ashley Furniture, BRIDG and even state and local officials, to discuss educational needs, career pathways, partnerships, scholarships and job opportunities for our community’s students. But, the formerly plain room wasn’t overly inviting and did not highlight our programs and students.

In came Valencia College’s Marketing and Public Affairs team. The team provided an inspired branded solution that features three Valencia Advanced Manufacturing Training Center graduates, two who completed the Mechatronics program and one who completed the Welding program.

“The new wall graphic has provided guests with a visual representation of the work we do in our Accelerated Skills Training programs,” explained Michael Kepner, director, Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. “It provides a stunning background to conversations focused on building collaborative efforts to increase career pathways for our students. Additionally, it is a great overview of our students and provides us with a reminder of the students we serve and the outcomes we can achieve.”

Mike added, “A sincere thank you to the entire Marketing team and Jennifer Sesto [implementation coordinator, continuing education, advanced manufacturing] for their efforts in turning a vision into a reality. This new wall graphic provides life to the conference room and serves as a reminder to guests about our vision and mission to provide students with diverse backgrounds the fundamental technical skills to be successful in their manufacturing careers.”

That's my daughter, Savanna, front and center! So proud of her accomplishments. Mechatronics is a great program. She just celebrated her one year work anniversary as a Senior Maintenance Technician at Walgreens Distribution Center in Orlando! I am happy to report that she loves her job and is grateful for the training she received at Advanced Manufacturing!
