Welcoming Kathleen Plinske, Our Fifth College President

Thursday, July 1, 2021

Today, we officially welcome Kathleen Plinske as the fifth president and CEO of Valencia College.

After emerging as the leading candidate following a presidential search that included on-campus interviews with three finalists, and a series of town halls with students, employees and community leaders, Kathleen was selected to serve as Valencia’s president by the College’s District Board of Trustees on Friday, December 18, 2020. While new to this role, Kathleen is not new to Valencia, having joined the College in 2010, and serving as president of the Osceola, Lake Nona, and Poinciana campuses, as well as executive vice president and provost since 2017.
