West Campus Fall Festival of Learning

Mark your calendars and plan to connect with your peers and students for an invigorating, fun afternoon! On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, West Campus will host its first-ever “Fall Festival of Learning.” This campus-wide event has been designed and developed through the collaborative efforts of faculty, staff and students.
The Fall Festival of Learning will begin at 1 p.m., in the Special Events Center, with opening remarks by Campus President, Dr. Falecia Williams and special guests. Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to participate in tours and interactive learning experiences at one or more of the following venues:
- Technology in the Classroom (Building 6, 3rd floor )
The Center for Teaching/Learning Innovation will have four interactive stations demonstrating the latest technologies that can be used in the classroom.
- Learning Support Resource Fair (HSB 105)
Learning Support Services will showcase the numerous student services available, such as tutoring, the Writing Center, the Math Lab, student life skills and supplemental instruction.
- Student Clubs and Organizations (Location TBD)
Student leaders will host information tables about their clubs and organizations. There will also be various activities for participants at this location.
- Student Services (SSB)
Staff members will conduct tours in this newly renovated building to showcase the departments housed there. Faculty and staff members will get an opportunity to experience the new SSB from a student’s point of view.
- The Collaboratorium (Building 10, 3rd floor)
Tours will be provided in the newest of our campus buildings which houses Continuing Education, Global Languages, OIT, Institutional Research and the Collaborative Design Center.
Light refreshments will be available at various locations.
