Winter Park Campus Continues Its Oldest Event — The Thanksgiving Celebration
ShareA message from Stacey Johnson, President, East & Winter Park Campuses
Winter Park Campus’ oldest and most iconic event of the year took place on Thursday, November 19, 2015. For the past 15 years, the campus has celebrated Thanksgiving by enjoying delicious multicultural dishes made by students, staff and faculty members.
This year, Student Development continued the tradition, and more than 87 campus members attended the event. Attendees donated food items to Pooky’s Pantry, the campus-based food bank for students, and more than $200 was raised to help support students in need.
Michele McArdle, executive dean of the Winter Park Campus, stated, “In addition to the hospitality, great conversation and tasty food, there were a number of International Education Week events in the courtyard to accompany the luncheon.”
Many thanks to everyone on campus who contributed to this event and a special note of thanks to Tracey Olsen-Oliver, director, student development; Sunni Prevatt, coordinator of student development; Kera Coyer, academic advisor; and our hard working student leaders.
